• The Werf Pop Up Welcomes Makemba

    The Werf Pop Up

Welcome to Makemba, our first pop up tenant

As the world comes to terms with the ‘new normal’, Imhoff Farm is proud to present their latest pop up retail concept. The Werf Pop Up is a desirable shopping destination to suit the ever-changing needs of local businesses.

Lockdown has not slowed the growth of Imhoff Farm, conveniently located on the Cape Point tourism route. The team has been hard at work with structural upgrades, welcoming new tenants and setting up the newly launched Werf Pop Up, all offering something fresh for visitors to look forward to.

The Werf Pop Up is a space geared towards artisans and entrepreneurs who predominantly operate online and at markets or find themselves moving away from traditional retail spaces. The space appeals to businesses wanting to professionally merchandise their products, interact with locals and tourists, all while retaining flexibility in terms of the duration of their stay. Perfectly positioned in Kommetjie, Imhoff Farm offers a unique trading environment, with a medley of much-loved restaurants, resident artisans, shops and experiences for the whole family to enjoy.

    Makemba Boutique

To kick off the opening of the pop-up space, Imhoff Farm warmly welcomes Makemba. Taking residency for the month of July, Makemba is a nomadic bohême designer collection of limited-edition artisanal jewelry and clothing. Founded by Jodi Jade, Makemba’s vision is to preserve ancient textile and jewelry craftsmanship. Merging tribal designs and materials into a new age range, the brand supports the work of indigenous tribes and artisans worldwide.

The Makemba offering includes exquisite silver and brass jewelry, designed and curated by Rodrigo Salazar Castro, an extraordinary artisan from Mexico. Jodie Jade creates gorgeous macrame pieces, each a labour love that weave together her passion for travel and the handmade. Bespoke pieces from the unique leather collection are handmade by a Zimbabwean artisan, while the clothing range caters to slow fashion aficionados and lovers of tribal art. The clothing collection is expertly crafted from natural fibres of Indian hand loomed cottons, West African mudcloth and hand block prints.

Be sure to pop by and browse Makemba’s unique selection of artisanal accessories and apparel. Make a day of it and explore the Imhoff farmyard; grab a coffee and essentials from the deli or let the kids play while you enjoy a delicious meal at one of the restaurants. There is a shop to explore and an experience for everyone to enjoy at Imhoff Farm!

    Action Paintball & Lastertag

    Fun-filled, action-packed paintball and lasertag

    PAINTBALL

Sneaking through the bush. All’s quiet, where is everyone? A twig snaps to your right. You sink slowly to the ground scanning the bush. Nothing but your heart beating, sweat trickling down your spine, eyes and ears straining to pinpoint movement or sound. Bang, zzzzziip. A paintball whips past your shoulder. Dive, roll onto your knees.  Another paintball splatters against the tree next to your head. Duck!!  Laughter to your left. Spin, movement, shoot. Splat!! “Ouch” and your opponent is out of the game. Relief and adrenalin pump through your body as you realise that you have survived your first contact in a Paintball Game.

    LASERTAG

Enjoy both the mental and physical thrill of taking on the ‘enemy’ in a safe, exciting and environmentally friendly way.  We play in a bush field with a rest area under the shelter of pine trees, having an area of thick bush for the sneaky shooters and an open grassland area with minimal bush for the leopard crawlers – a really awesome tactical field with something for everyone!

Unlike Paintball, the Lasertag gun does not shoot a projectile.  It only emits a harmless infra-red beam, so no impact or bumps. Unlimited ammunition and lives and our generation 4 systems are light and compact without cumbersome cables or sensor head bands and vests.

Different team and individual game formats including President, Medic and Assassin keep players entertained throughout the session.

Shoot and watch your opponents gun flash and beep as it is disabled and he is eliminated from the game.

We run Lasertag games during the week and on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekdays are more flexible so contact us for your requirements. Saturdays and Sundays run at the scheduled times given below.
