    Lockdown has not slowed the growth of Imhoff Farm, conveniently located on the Cape Point tourism route. The team has been hard at work with structural upgrades, welcoming new tenants and setting up the newly launched Werf Pop Up, all offering something fresh for visitors to look forward to.

    The Werf Pop Up is a space geared towards artisans and entrepreneurs who predominantly operate online and at markets or find themselves moving away from traditional retail spaces.

    The space appeals to businesses wanting to professionally merchandise their products, interact with locals and tourists, all while retaining flexibility in terms of the duration of their stay.

    Perfectly positioned in Kommetjie, Imhoff Farm offers a unique trading environment, with a medley of much-loved restaurants, resident artisans, shops and experiences for the whole family to enjoy.

    Fever Tree showcases an exciting collection of African handcraft ranging from Zulu beadwork, recycled art and hand-painted ceramics to handwoven grass baskets and traditional cloths.

    Each piece is hand-selected by owner and artist Louise Casserley who has an eye for design, detail and quality. Every item is proudly produced in Africa with a strong focus on contemporary South African arts and crafts. Empowering self-taught local artists, Fever Tree assists in enabling a more sustainable way of life through the income generated by their crafts.

    Paying homage to traditional styles and techniques, bold colours and creativity collide to create a diverse offering of covetable African art.

    The Artist

    Owner Louise Casserley is a trained fine artist who has been involved in the African art scene for over a decade. During this time, she developed a passion for the ingenuity of recycled art and is well known for her pieces which can be found in private collections both locally and abroad.

    Louise is inspired by nature, animals and the colours and designs of Xhosa and Zulu heritage. With a passion for ceramic painting, Louise developed the ‘Bisque-bah Ceramics’ in-house ceramic range together with her assistant and local artist, Sylvia Ntsinga-Dyonase who has been painting professionally for the past decade.

Simon is an experienced  international fashion brand sales director and takes care of the product sourcing and merchandising for the store’s diverse and desirable apparel, footwear and homeware range.

    With extensive project management experience, Sean is in charge of the premium coffee offering and in-store shopping experience. Barista extraordinaire Joseph will ensure that you are well-caffeinated during your visit to the trendiest fashion destination in the Southern Peninsula of Cape Town.

    The Team

    Rummage is run by three friends: Sue Bassett, Zelda Bate and Tracey Nevill. Brought together when their children were at the school on Imhoff Farm, they share a common passion for interesting vintage and second-hand clothes. Their pre-loved wardrobes are a vessel for self-expression and the store concept stemmed from care and concern for the planet and environment.

    The three owners love matching vintage treasures with customers who offer them a new lease on life. The shop is known to bustle with women offering advice to one another and has been the catalyst for many friendships formed while becoming a real part of the local community.

    Inspired by the birth of her daughter, owner Alison Geduldt founded the Precious Cargo store in 2000 which primarily stocked children’s goods and clothing. The store has since undergone a metamorphosis and now stocks an assortment of quirky and eccentric gifts to delight any age.

    Everything from locally produced jewellery, incense, Kenyan Kikoy’s, potato print table cloths, hand knitted woolen and funky hats, face paints and henna can be purchased in the charming wendy house.

    As a passionate independent local music promoter, Alison has curated a covetable selection of local CD’s and second hand vinyl records. She also stocks a range of authentic indigeneous instruments including kalimbas, marimbas and didgeridoos.

    The Owner

    Owner Alison Gedult was involved in the local music industry for 18 years before the birth of her daughter and the Precious Cargo store.

    Alison wears many hats – when not at the Precious Cargo store, she books local music gigs and also spends time filming and editing content for her Youtube channel. Passionate about the local community, Alison is a founding member of the Ocean View Peace Wall community upliftment project. The Peace Wall is a 50m mural, with hearts painted in bright colours to honour the lives of those lost to gang violence.

    Stocking a range of the best natural fibre yarn from local producers and hand dyers, a selection of carefully curated imported yarn can also be found. Whether you are (or aspire to be) a knitter, crocheter, felter, weaver, or hand spin your own yarn, you will find gorgeous quality, natural fibre materials and tools for all your fibre craft creations!

    The Team

    Founder Gina is a knitter, crocheter, spinner, felter, weaver and loves to do the odd bit of embroidery. She hand dyes the Stellar Fibreworks yarn that is available in store and has also recently dipped her toes into the process of natural dyeing. Well known for her patterns, you can find them published online and in the Ideas Magazine. Gina loves to bring the fibre craft industry together and is a proud organiser of the Cape Town and Joburg Yarn Festivals.

    Carmen has been with Natural Yarns since its inception and assists with the store and general admin. She loves getting things organised, enjoys knitting and has a penchant for books and cats.

    Liesl joined the Natural Yarns team in 2018 and she spins yarns and is also branching into yarn dyeing and pattern design. A wealth of knitting and crocheting knowledge, you can find Liesl at the store on Friday afternoons and over the weekend.

    Ogwini Greens is a local Kommetjie business supplying fresh, naturally grown microgreens to the public and restaurants in and around Cape Town. Having recently taken over the nursery at Imhoff Farm, Ogwini Greens founders Henri and Leigh-ann Burger are focused on implementing sustainable and organic practises as well as providing food growing education to the community and surrounds.

    Alongside their deletable micro greens which add flavour and nutrients to any dish, the nursery has a carefully curated selection of biodegradable pots, succulents, water wise plants and fresh flowers. Beautiful gifts including  ceramic pots, baskets and macrame pieces made by local artists can also be found in the refreshed space.

    The Growers

    Husband and wife, Hendri and Leigh-ann Burger are the proud new owners of the nursery at Imhoff Farm. As a viticulturist and cellar manager, with a BAgric, Hendri started cultivating micro greens for home use.

    Due to the unbeatable quality of his delicious produce, news quickly spread and Ogwini Greens grew into a thriving business.

    When the opportunity arose, Hendri and Leigh-ann jumped at the chance to move their beloved business to Imhoff Farm and they look forward to growing the nursery offering, while educating and learning from the vibrant  local community.
