Higgeldy Piggeldy Farm Yard

Farmyard entertainment for the little ones

Conveniently located in sight of Blue Water Café, your little ones are encouraged to visit the safe Farmyard for some outdoor and educational entertainment. Offering a scenic location under the old stone pine trees looking out over the vineyards, your children will have the opportunity to feed and touch farmyard animals.

Get acquainted with domestic farm animals including; ponies, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, emus, rabbits and a variety of feathery friends!

R20.00 per person entry is charged. If they’re not walking yet, entry is free.

Great for parties, choose either the morning slot until 13:00 or the afternoon slot from 14:00. R50/hour venue fee applies for only as many hours as you need.

The standard farmyard R20.00 per person entry fee is charged to all attending the party, payable at the farmyard on the day. No restaurant service is available in the farmyard which is self-catering. There is an undercover space for 40 people, and you may decorate as you please.

The Farmyard is delighted to provide an exciting educational programme designed exclusively for school outings, by educationalist Ali Corbett (founder of Cape for Kids). Tailored to the age and language level of learners, the programme will typically include:

  • A talk on the animals using a family of farm puppets
  • A guided tour around the farm, looking at the unique characteristics of the different animals
  • Hands-on activities, such as drawing a feather or even milking a goat!

All outings are designed to ensure children use their heads, hearts and hands. It’s all about helping children to learn and appreciate their environment through a fun, hands-on experience.
