Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard

Home to some very friendly farm animals – including goats, pigs, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and a pony – Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard is a fun-filled favourite with visitors to Imhoff.

Right next door to Blue Water Café, you also have the opportunity to enjoy some delicious fare while the little ones visit the farm for a spot of educational entertainment.

What makes Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard so special is that our animals roam (almost!) freely. Your kids may enter the larger enclosures and pet our beloved rescued pony, Piccadilly, or stroke some of his furry and feathered friends. Mr Ginger (the friendliest of all our rabbits) is particularly fond of attention – especially if accompanied by the contents of a goody bag or a carrot (feel free to bring your own).

And did you know that goats have rectangular pupils? That’s just one of the many quirky facts you’ll learn about farm animals from the brightly coloured booklets dotted around the farm.

In addition to self-guided walks, Higgeldy Piggeldy Farm offers a range of guided tours and educational programmes for larger groups and schools seeking a more in-depth learning experience.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating World Animal Farmyard Day on 2nd October 2009. It was a great day, full of fun and excitement. The lucky dip and 'make your own pizza' were especially popular. We look forward to seeing you all again soon for our next event.

Did you know?
Higgeldy Piggeldy’s animals have all been named by some of the imaginative children visiting the farm. There’s Mother Goose, Patches (boar), Lola (sow) and Stuart (Ram), to name but a few. Don’t forget to find out what the other animals are called the next time you visit.
