Rummage Co Op
A carefully curated selection of previously loved vintage and second-hand clothing
Rummage Co Op is a quaint vintage and second-hand clothing store run by three inveterate treasure hunters who share a love of finding unique and fashionable pieces.
Situated in the heart of the courtyard of Imhoff Farm, the store sells a curated selection of one-off pieces, chosen for their quality and style. Everything in the store has been thoughtfully sourced, laundered, pressed and priced. In addition to the rails of gorgeous clothing, the store holds a treasure trove of exceptional accessories to cherish.
If you are in the market for a summer frock, winter woolens, groovy party dress or just feel the need to update your wardrobe with something wonderful then be sure to visit Cape Town’s best kept fashion secret.
Rummage Co Op accepts clothing on consignment – The clothing retail trade is one of the most wasteful industries in the world, so reducing one’s impact by selling one’s old clothes and buying second hand is a green and ethical choice.
Rummage is run by three friends: Sue Bassett, Zelda Bate and Tracey Nevill. Brought together when their children were at the school on Imhoff Farm, they share a common passion for interesting vintage and second-hand clothes. Their pre-loved wardrobes are a vessel for self-expression and the store concept stemmed from care and concern for the planet and environment.
The three owners love matching vintage treasures with customers who offer them a new lease on life. The shop is known to bustle with women offering advice to one another and has been the catalyst for many friendships formed while becoming a real part of the local community.
