    The Maker

With a degree in Fine Art from Rhodes University (MFA Prac), Lindsay Quirk’s first love is printmaking. The Farm Studio is a safe haven and Lindsay is drawn to the peace and quiet that the space affords her.

When not in the studio producing original work or facilitating printmaking classes, Lindsay spends her time working with various sewing disciplines – embroidery needles are never far out of reach! A true creative at heart, Lindsay also works as a sought after stylist for weddings, pulling together all aspects including the decor, floristry and design.

    The Artist

Owner Louise Casserley is a trained fine artist who has been involved in the African art world for over a decade. During this time, she developed a passion for the ingenuity of recycled art. Louise is well known for her pieces which can be found in private collections both locally and abroad.

Her inspiration comes from nature, animals and the colours and designs of Xhosa and Zulu heritage. Louise shares her passion for ceramic painting with her assistant and local artist, Sylvia Ntsinga-Dyonase who has been painting professionally for the past decade. As a result Louise and Sylvia developed the ‘Bisque-bah Ceramics’ in-house ceramic range which can be bought at their studio.
