La Belle Armoire by Greg Pullen

Internationally acclaimed decorative artist studio and workshop

Translated as “The Beautiful Cupboard”, La Belle Armoire is a bustling workshop on Imhoff Farm. This is where owner Greg and his apprentices transform ordinary furniture into works of art. When not in the workshop, they can be found painting intricately detailed murals on client’s walls or ceilings.

There is an unmistakable traditional French feel about the La Belle Armoire style. Yet it is also influenced by less obvious sources, such as Swedish art history and the rock art of Africa’s early Bushmen.

If you are visiting from abroad, La Belle Armoire is regularly commissioned to produce covetable furniture, destined for homes all over the world.

The Artist

Trained as a Decorative Artist in England, Greg’s exceptional work is inspired by his extensive experience working in France, Germany and Switzerland.

Greg is an expert in techniques including painted furniture, murals, trompe l’oeil, wood graining, marbling, stonework, gilding and metallic finishes. Working on traditional and contemporary projects in both residential and commercial markets, he is notably skilled at colour matching, enabling him to restore and maintain the integrity of any original finish.

In addition to his hands-on approach to decoration, Greg offers an advisory service allied to project management. More than 30 years in the industry enables him to provide both cost and time-saving recommendations as well as practical design solutions.
