Precious Cargo
A medley of gifts, collectables, curios, jewellery and local music
Inspired by the birth of her daughter, owner Alison Geduldt founded the Precious Cargo store in 2000. Initially it mostly stocked children’s goods and clothing, however the store has undergone a metamorphosis and now stocks an assortment of gifts, collectables, African curios, jewellery and local music to delight any age.
Shop for incense, Kenyan Kikoy’s, potato print table cloths, hand knitted woolen and funky hats, face paints and in the charming wooden house under the trees on Imhoff Farm.
As a passionate independent local music promoter, Alison has curated a covetable selection of local CD’s and second hand vinyl records. She also stocks a range of authentic indigeneous instruments including kalimbas, marimbas and didgeridoos.
Face Painting parties can be facilitated in the space – please contact Alison to check availability.
The Owner
Owner Alison Gedult was involved in the local music industry for 18 years before the birth of her daughter and the Precious Cargo store.
Alison wears many hats – when not at the Precious Cargo store, she books local music gigs and also spends time filming and editing content for her Youtube channel. Passionate about the local community, Alison is a founding member of the Ocean View Peace Wall community upliftment project. The Peace Wall is a 50m mural, with hearts painted in bright colours to honour the lives of those lost to gang violence.
